Well it seems like a good day to talk about severe health concerns that we all worry about, "Cancer, Alzheimer's, Mental health. MS and the growing list of new diseases that are discovered as time goes by. Number of gene variants linked to Alzheimer’s disease doubles
Scientists have discovered 11 new genes that may be tied to the late-onset form of Alzheimer’s disease, a new study shows. Eleven gene variants had previously been linked to late-onset Alzheimer’s, including the APOE-e4 gene that appeared to have the strongest impact on risk. This latest research doubles the known Alzheimer’s disease gene variants. The Alzheimer's Association co-funded the formation of the International Genomics of Alzheimer's Disease Project (IGAP) that conducted this study.

Major depressive disorder (MDD) is more than just feeling a little sad or having a rough day. If your child has MDD, his or her feelings of sadness can last a long time. Clinical research studies like the STEADi (Study To Evaluate an Adolescent Depression Investigational drug) clinical research study are done to find out if drugs are safe to treat MDD and to see if they work for children and adolescents.Girls and boys who are 12 to 17 years old and have been diagnosed with MDD or who have been feeling depressed for at least the past 6 weeks may be eligible to participate in the STEADi clinical research study.
